How long will the perseids persist? I was up 2am to 3am last night, only caught 1 meteor.
Your photo seemed to have captured many, unless you left the shutter speed on for several minutes?

If you look at the hourly tally count - better to watch when the radiant is much higher. Yes i noticed the lull period around 2-3.The image is a stack frame from video stills.
If you want to try digiSLR - short exposure on automated interval shooting and experiment with the best duration before overexposure.
